Our founder, former US Marine Corps infantry captain Josh Ulrich, is also a veteran cop with decades of inner-city experience.

He's a former LAPD officer who worked gang suppression units in South Central and Boyle Heights. 

 

Ulrich has served as a Massachusetts State Police trooper with over 13 years as a homicide detective.  Retired from law enforcement, he is now employed as director of security for a private Christian school in Massachusetts.

In addition to doing extremely dangerous jobs, he has trained with some of the best combat-experienced shooting instructors in the world (Marksmanship Matters, UT and the Gunsite Academy, AZ). 

 

A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Josh Ulrich has medalled in nine tournament competitions. 

 

He has trained hundreds of citizens of all ages in personal safety, both with and without a gun.
